Buy A Candy Dispenser

DeForest · November 27, 2018 ·

In real estate investing, there’s a mantra associated with success: “Location! Location! Location!”  As a new employee, a mantra also exists: “Visibility! Visibility! Visibility!”

We’ve described numerous ways to increase your visibility and exposure, but none are as easy as buying a candy dispenser.  Whether it’s a gumball machine, a Jelly Belly machine (our personal favorite), or a candy bowl, there’s no easier way to get colleagues, bosses, and others to stop by your office.  Everyone loves treats, especially when they’re free.

The best part of a candy dispenser? Other than buying and stocking the candy, it’s always working for you and requires little to no effort.  While other activities are necessary to demonstrate your skills and capabilities to management, especially upper management, most of them—report writing, customer phone calls, client communications, presentations, etc.—require significant effort.  Just keep the candy stocked and let them come to you!
